Retro Television Fabric - Spoonflower Experiment

A joint effort (me and my partner Mike) produced this collection of retro television fabrics for my Spoonflower store. I got reduced-price swatches last month, so I used the opportunity to conduct a small experiment:
I recently received a new Spoonflower colour-map. The colour map allows me to choose colours from a swatch file (prepared by Spoonflower) and reference how that colour will actually print on their fabric. Brilliant! Ok, but here's where the experiment comes in. I designed my retro television fabrics before I received my colour map. Here are the original designs:

grey/teal blue

Then I received the colour map and chose colours directly from the colour map (the fabric, not the swatch file) and dropped them into my digital files. I'm not sure that I like the result, so it will be fascinating to see which swatches work better when printed. Here are the digital images with the colours I chose directly from the fabric map:

I will be sure to write a follow-up post with the results once I receive the swatches. I can't wait!
The gobennygo Retro Television designs will be for sale on Spoonflower once I receive the swatches and can confirm colours.
